Our History

Elder G. Warren Manigault, II and Elder Cathy McCray-Manigault, founded the Holy Tabernacle Church of God In Christ, of Brockton, on September 1, 1994.

Prior to founding the ministry, they both served as associate ministers at the Holy Tabernacle Church Of God In Christ, Dorchester Massachusetts.

They both served for twenty years under the leadership of the Late Bishop Joe L. Smith. Bishop Smith founded the Holy Tabernacle Church of God In Christ Apostolic Inc. in August 1966.

The church held its first services at the Holiday Inn in Brockton MA in 1994 and then moved to the War Memorial Building on West Elm Street.
In 1996 the church moved again to a leased facility at 664 North Main Street. At this time the name was changed to The Holy Tabernacle Church of Brockton.  The Lord continued to bless the ministry and added to the church as He saw fit.

In the fall of 1999 the way was made for the church to move to its current facility at 861 Main Street.  The church purchased 861 – 868 Main Street in March of 2000.

In June of 2001 the church was renamed once again to The Holy Tabernacle Church of Brockton, Judah Ministries, to reflect the church’s role as a founding member of a new church fellowship named Judah Ministries, International.
